Existential Phenomenology:
a look at lived experience
The phenomenological-existential approach in psychotherapy is based on the principle that each person experiences the world in a unique and singular way. This perspective seeks to understand how the child or adolescent feels, perceives, and makes sense of their experiences.
Therapeutic work takes place through attentive and welcoming listening, which values the encounter and the authentic expression of what is experienced. Thus, psychotherapy becomes a space where young people can better understand their feelings, recognize their possibilities, and build new ways of relating to themselves, to others, and to the world.
